Candles

There’s really nothing like candles to create a magical, luminous atmosphere at any event.

They make everything look softer and they make you and your guests look prettier. What more could you want?

I am personally a big big fan of scented candles of all kinds, my favorite brands are Salt City, Glasshouse and Ecoya. I love that you can really set the mood through gorgeous scent emanating throughout the room. Some people however think that scented candles should not be used anywhere where there is food being served. I think this is true to a point, but I also don’t mind a nice soft unobtrusive vanilla floating around the room whilst you dine. Yum!

If smelly things are not your thing then another thing I love to do if mix and match different height, thickness and coloured candles. It makes a beautiful alter-like look. Think the final moments of Baz Lurhmann’s  Romeo + Juliet… so magic!

Miss Demeter’s Style Blog- A beginning

Hello fellow style lovers!

I’m Miss Demeter (my parents didn’t call me that, but that’s what I have dubbed myself) and I am an event planning junkie. It’s my ultimate dream to have my own event planning business one day and I thought starting this blog (suggested by some lovely friends) would be a good way to start my journey.

I mostly love weddings and that will be my main focus, but there are so many other events in life that I would equally love to style! I mean at this time of year is anyone thinking any thing but Christmas?
